Yes, Harvest Eco-friendly Energy from Temperature Changes is Possible now. An MIT device is now able to harvest Eco- Friendly energy from temperature Changes or fluctuations, And it could provide power for devices in remote places.

According to the MIT team who are working on this idea and invention, The thermal resonator does not require sunlight. And It is not very affected by wind conditions, So it will allow it to continuously generate power for sensors in remote or hard to reach areas.The thermal resonator generates electricity from the changes in ambient temperature during the day and night cycle. It is Optimized for thermal effusivity.The device also includes a phase-change material that stores heat and graphene that provides quick conduction when it is time to convert the heat to electricity.

14. Radius Backpack Harvests Energy with Solar Beads

It is Created by Pauline van Dongen. The Radius backpack invention charges devices by harvesting energy via tiny solar power beads.It is made of a single piece of fabric and a strap woven with the solar beads. The harvested Eco- Friendly solar energy is sent to the attached charging cable, which can be accessed through the top of the bag. According to the designer, The unique quality of the woven beads allows the solar-powered material to blend with the knit of the pack.

15. Golden Nanogenerator Harvests Electricity from Body Motion

Golden Nanogenerator Harvests Electricity from Body Motion

The New Golden Nanogenerator which Harvest Electricity from body Motion is Developed by teams from the University of Buffalo and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.It could one day help power devices with the flick of a finger.

The triboelectric nanogenerator is made up of a small tab of gold and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), with thin gold layers around the PDMS layer. Stretching and releasing a gold layer will cause it to crumble, and applying the force again will create friction between the gold layer and PDMS—triggering electrons to move between the gold layers.The small device was able to power 48 LEDs at once, and the team who is now working on a battery to complement the technology is also claiming that it is also affordable and easy to manufacture.

16. Gravitricity System Generates Electricity with Weight

Gravitricity System Generates Electricity with Weight

This is a new technology from the startup Gravitricity generates power by dropping weights down mine shafts.According to the team, the system could generate up to 20 MW of power, with a lifespan of 50 years. The system would also eliminate the requirements of battery storage, and will give a new use to old mine shafts.

The whole idea relies on weight up to 3000 tons that would be suspended over a mine shaft, where it would be raised or lowered to expand or create energy.

  2. Up to 20 MW of power, with a lifespan of 50 years.
  3. Eliminate the requirements of battery storage.
  4. Response time – zero to full power in less than one second
  5. Efficiency – between 80 and 90 percent

17. Moya Power Harvests Eco-Friendly Energy from Passing Trains

Moya Power has plans to generate electricity by harvesting the wind power of passing trains and vehicles. According to the team, the material could be installed in existing infrastructure.And where it could generate ten percent of the energy per square meter that is equal to the solar panels.Moya Material in The Moya Power system which relies on sheets of lightweight, flexible material able to harvest low-grade wind energy and vibrations, such as those created by passing vehicles. The Moya material is being Currently tested in the London Crossrail tunnels.
