  2. In the left pane, click System protection.  If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Click the System Protection tab, and then click Create.
  4. In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click Create.

Uninstall and reinstall the network drivers: In this Method, you just have to follow these Steps to Uninstall and reinstall the network drivers:

  1. Right Click on Start button and open Device Manager. Or OpenControl Panel, then System and Security, and then, under System, click on Device Manager.
  2. If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3.  In the newly opened list of hardware categories, find  Network adapters and Expand it.
  4. Now, Right click on the LAN adapter, uninstall it.
  5. Afterward, right click somewhere in that tree & select Scan for hardware changes
  6. Now select the network adapters and click on install.
  7. Restart if required.

Method 2 : Solve Windows 7 not auto connecting to LAN on startup

Using Network Services: In this Method, you just have to follow these Steps to start the client services automatically.

  1. Right click on ‘My Computer’
  2. Now select ‘Manage’
  3. Go to  the ‘Services & Applications’
  4. Now, navigate to ‘Services’
  5. Here, Check that all the ‘network’ services are started, except ‘network access point’. Check that the ‘dhcp client service’ is started automatically (this enables your pc to receive an IP).
  6. After it go to command prompt by going through start > run > cmd. Then type ‘IPCONFIG’ and press enter before you have to disable and enable your Local area connection. Kindly paste the ipv4 part,

Method 3 : Solve Windows 7 not auto connecting to LAN on startup

Remove Bonjour: It is reported that sometimes certain software especially bonjour can cause this type of issue. Bonjour software installs with Adobe photo suite, iTunes and a few other Apple programs. Follow the below steps to fix it.

  1. First of all go to  start > run > and Run MsConfig.
  2. Now, Under the Services tab uncheck the service called “##Id_String1.6844[… and then a bunch of numbers]” by Apple
  3. Now, navigate to C:\Program Files\Bonjour
  4. in the folder find mdnsNSP.dll and then Rename the mdnsNSP.dll file to mdnsNSP.old
  5. Restart your computer
  6. Now, Delete the Program Files\Bonjour folder

Method 4 : Solve Windows 7 not auto connecting to LAN on startup

Verify TCP/IP Settings: 

  1. In Control Panel, Go to Network and Sharing Center, and then Change adapter settings.
  2. Now right-click the Network Adapter and choose Properties.
  3. Make sure, If you don’t use IPv6 in your home network, uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6.
  4. Now after it, Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 and then Properties, and ensure that both the IP and DNS server addresses are set to automatic.
  5. Reboot.

  • Scan for Windows Update and install all updates, including optional ones.
  • GO to the website of the manufacturer of the network card. If there is latest driver for the card available, download and install it.
  • Execute sfc /scannow to check the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replace damaged versions with the correct ones (if possible).
